DEA Boys’ Middle School, Varsity Basketball update

David Emanuel Academy’s middle school and varsity basketball teams hosted Twiggs Academy on Monday, Dec. 14.
The varsity boys’ team fell short of a win with a final score of 77-45. Scoring points for DEA: Randon Williams 22, Banks Booth 14, Reece Yeomans 3, Billy Martin 3, Tony Sutton 3.
The middle school boys’ team defeated Twiggs Academy 53-48. Scoring for DEA: Brody Fleming 26, Banks Booth 15, Peyton Lee 4, Richard Braddy 4, Landon Lindsey 2, Cooper Riley 2.
On Tuesday, Dec. 15, DEA’s middle school teams traveled to Pinewood Christian Academy, where the boys’ team claimed another victory this season, 42-41. Scoring for DEA: Banks Booth 21, Brody Fleming 10, Peyton Lee 8, Richard Braddy, 3.
DEA’s basketball teams will resume normal schedules following winter break. The middle school teams will kick off the first game of the new year at home and will host Screven Christian Academy. Fifth through seventh grades will be the only grades playing at this particular game. Game times are set to begin at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
All varsity and middle school teams will resume play the following day, Jan. 8, versus Heritage. The games will be held at the Stillmore gymnasium and are set to begin at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
