On January 30, the David Emanuel Eagles hosted the Fullington Academy Trojans in Stillmore. In the girls’ game, Aubrey Williams and Emma Proctor led the team with 9 points each. Also contributing to the scoreboard were Kylie Bell (5 points), Maddi Perkins (2 points), Addalyn Terwilliger (2 points), Payton Peebles (1 point) and Bailey McNure (1 point). Although the Lady Eagles fell short to the Trojans with a final score of 48-29, the varsity boys secured a big win over the Trojans in overtime with a final score of 67-58. Billy Martin led the team with 18 points. Randon Williams followed strong with 16 points, Tony Sutton 11 points, Ethan Fields 5 points, and Revan Fortner and Richard Braddy each with 3 points.
Along with an exciting night of basketball, it was also a special night of recognition for the David Emanuel Academy Senior athletes: Chirsten McCoy, Maddie Perkins, Emma Proctor, Jay Carter, Billy Martin, Tony Sutton and Randon Williams. In between the boys’ and girls’ games, each Senior player was escorted on the court by his or her parents and recognized for their special achievements and awards throughout their high school career at David Emanuel.
