Following last year’s completion of project improvements at the Betty Gambrell Animal Shelter, employees of the local shelter are ecstatic over the facility’s new look and wants the local community to be just as excited. To showcase its improvements, a grand re-opening celebration has been set for Saturday, June 5, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event will feature baked goods, drinks, face painting, a dunk-a-cop dunking booth, as well as free popcorn and balloons. The celebration will also host a cram-the-van drive for donations to be made to the shelter and its intakes. The shelter is in need of canned dog food, cleaning supplies, toys, leashes, etc.
