Ka’Dorian Benjamin signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Georgia State University on Friday, December 5. As a four-year member of the football team, Ka’Dorian contributed to the offensive line each Friday night. Over the course of his high school career, he helped his team reach two state championship games and earned nine playoff wins.

Head Football Coach Scott Roberts says he and his staff are excited for Ka’Dorian’s opportunity to play at the next level. “Ka’Dorian is a great young man who has taken care of his business in the classroom so he can capitalize on this opportunity,” he says. Roberts also notes, “He has represented our program well and has earned this chance to play Division I football.” In response, Ka’Dorian expressed heartfelt gratitude to his family, coaches, teammates, and school administration for their support throughout the last four years, especially during those long trips to games.

At Georgia State’s request, Ka’Dorian prepared to report in January by working extra hard to earn all the required credits for a December graduation. Soon, he will say goodbye to Swainsboro High School and take the next step in both his academic and athletic journey.

A signing ceremony held in the Media Center celebrated Ka’Dorian’s achievement. Present were his parents, Lynn and Shanika Benjamin; his grandmother, Cynthia Shedrick; extended family; Tiger teammates, students, teachers, and community members.
