The David Emanuel Academy football team continued its historic, dominant run last Friday night, routing Grace Christian Academy 48-6 in front of an energetic home crowd in Stillmore. With the decisive victory, the Eagles improved to a perfect 10-0 on the season and punched their ticket to the GIAA state semifinals.
From the opening whistle, Eagles exerted complete control on both sides of the ball. The Eagles' high-octane offense operated with precision, while the defense delivered another relentless performance, holding Grace Christian to a single score throughout the entire contest. The 42-point win put an exclamation mark on an undefeated regular season and playoff push, reinforcing DEA's position as one of the state's top high school football programs this year.
The stakes now reach their peak this Friday night as David Emanuel Academy hosts Fullington Academy in the GIAA semifinals in Stillmore. A victory on home turf will send the Eagles directly to the GIAA State Championship game scheduled for Friday, November 14, at Mt de Sales in Macon.
School administrators, coaches and players are calling on the entire community to turn out in full force this Friday night. Pack the stands, wear your school colors, and cheer on the Eagles as they fight for a spot in the state title game!
