The American Legion Squadron 103, along with Chapman's Funeral Home, hosted an appreciation meal for the First Responders of Emanuel County. The event took place at Vann Community House in Swainsboro on October 13 at 6 p.m. Guests were served delicious grilled pork chops, green beans, potato salad and cake. A drawing was held for a brick paver to be donated in the winner’s honor by Sons of the American Legion Squadron 103. The winner was Michael Wilson of the Swainsboro Fire Department. Congratulations Michael and thank you for your service.
The meal is a way of saying how much First Responders are appreciated for their devotion, sacrifice and willingness to serve and protect our communities of Emanuel County. When see a first responder, Please take time let them know how much they are appreciated each day.
