Long time Tax Commissioner Sandra Wright has announced her plans for retirement.
“My plans are to retire at the end of my term in December 2024. I have been blessed to have worked hard in the Tax Commissioner’s Office for 46 year. At the end of my term, I will have served as Tax Commissioner for 28 of those years. It is time for me to move on with the next phase of my life and let the younger minds handle the office,” said Wright. “My plans are to enjoy my grandchildren and my great-grandbabies and hopefully do some traveling. I am looking forward to not being on a schedule. I want to say thank you to the citizens of Emanuel County for the trust you have placed in me by allowing me to serve as your Tax Commissioner.”
