WILLIAMS: Proving them wrong

Posted

Quintus Williams is a current senior at Swainsboro High School who says “he has something to prove”. He has overcome so many obstacles and defeated so many odds. Many people may have counted him out, but God is truly on his side, and he has his favor all over him. Quintus is part of Swainsboro High School's Class of 2024, but he will always and forever be a 16-year-old honor graduate who completed the nurse aide program and a graduate of STC’s Class of 2023. When it comes to academics and education, Quintus takes it very seriously and is always on top of his game. He is involved in FFA, FBLA, Beta, Student Council (10th–12th), Dual Enrollment, 24’ Ring Committee, Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council, SHS Black History Student Committee, 4-H, EGSC L.E.A.D. Society, National Society of High School Scholars, Citizens Bank Advisory Board, 21st Century Leaders (President), Franklin Memorial Teen Advisory Board, and most recently, he was named a Class of 2024 homecoming representative, making him a candidate for 2023 homecoming king. Quintus is highly involved in the Emanuel County community, giving back through various community service projects and events. He has won a multitude of awards, but his most notable and prestigious achievements include being the first ever Emanuel County Schools Ga Youth Leader, Emanuel County Schools 1st ever America Library of Poetry Published Author, GA FBLA’s Client Service State Runner-up, Ga FBLA’s Region 4 Graphic Design Champion, and GA FBLA’s National Equidi Dreams to Reality Scholarship semi-finalists.

Quintus is a great example of what it truly means to be an outstanding student at Swainsboro High School. He is a true definition of black excellence and what it means to exemplify it!
