There is a lot of uncertainty going on in the world today. It is a lot of chaos. So many things we relied on are now in jeopardy. We are witnessing how one person's decision has changed the atmosphere of the whole world. It has happened many times before on so many occasions throughout our lives.
The first man made a decision which put the whole world in sin. God had made the world, left him in charge and gave him dominion over everything. Man's decision put the world in chaos. We had no way out. But there was another man sent to deliver us from the uncertainty and choas.
For God sent his only son in the likeness of sinful flesh to condemn sin in the flesh. (Romans 8:3). Now the world through him might be saved. Now how powerful is that? Do we need to know more? God has sent our deliverer. He has given us the only way out (John 14:6). He has given us someone we can trust - that is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the man/flesh part and Christ/Messiah is the God part. That's why he is the Son of God not the son of man so that we who are born again will be free from sin.
John 3:16, one of the most quoted verses in the most published book in the world, the Bible, tells us this “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life”. And verse 17 goes on to reassure us by saying, “And God did not send his Son Jesus to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved”.
So where is your trust or who are you trusting. So you will not get it twisted, Proverbs 3:5-7 tells us to “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.”
Man gets us in a mess, but it takes God to get us out. Joshua told the children of Israel the choice is yours. You can choose the false gods, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15) So make your choice today - who you are going to trust? For you will serve whoever you trust.
