Under and by virtue of the Power of Sale contained in a Deed to Secure Debt given by CHORSSIE C. JONES, Sr. and LINDA A. JONES to DURDEN BANKING COMPANY, INC., P.O. Said property is designated in 2023 by the Emanuel County Tax Assessors as Map and Parcel #S27-025.

Said Deed to Secure Debt was executed to secure a Note of even date in the original principal amount of $79,780.46, with interest at the rate specified therein together with all other indebtedness of the borrower to the lender then due or that might thereafter become due, or thereafter become contracted, which was or would be evidenced by a note or notes.

The debt secured by said Deed to Secure Debt has been and is hereby declared due because of, among other possible events of default, failure to pay the indebtedness as and when due and in the manner provided in the Note and Deed to Secure Debt. The debt remaining in default, this sale will be made for the purpose of paying the same and all expenses of this sale, as provided in the Deed to Secure Debt and by law, including attorney's fees. PAVING IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE CITY OF TWIN CITY, GEORGIA

Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Twin City, Georgia at Twin City, City Hall, P.O. Box 980 or 112 South Railroad Avenue, Twin City, Georgia 30471 (Shipping Address Only – No Mail Received at Street Address) until 12:00 Noon local time, Friday, August 25, 2023, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.

The Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2001 Edition, Supplemental Specifications Book, 2008 Edition, and applicable Supplemental Specifications and Special Provisions apply to this project.

The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the construction of:

Part A – Mathis Avenue

The project will consist of patching, overlay with 315 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm

Superpave, 382 gallons of bitum tack coat, restriping, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Part B – Princess Street

The project will consist of overlay with 140 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 170 gallons of bitum tack coat, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Part C – King Street

The project will consist of overlay with 175 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 215 gallons of bitum tack coat, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Part D – Palm Street

The project will consist of patching, overlay with 235 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 285 gallons of bitum tack coat, restriping, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Part E – Maple Street

The project will consist of overlay with 413 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 450 gallons of bitum tack coat, restriping, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Part F – South Railroad Avenue

The project will consist of patching, overlay with 381 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 405 gallons of bitum tack coat, restriping, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Part G – South College Street

The project will consist of overlay with 435 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 474 gallons of bitum tack coat, restriping, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Part H – Old Statesboro Road

The project will consist of patching, overlay with 569 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 186 gallons of bitum tack coat, restriping, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Part I – Rainbow Ridge The project will consist of patching, overlay with 141 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 171 gallons of bitum tack coat, restriping, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Part J – Allen Street

The project will consist of overlay with 66 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 80 gallons of bitum tack coat, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Part K – Paradise Road

The project will consist of patching, overlay with 200 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 242 gallons of bitum tack coat, restriping, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Part L – Stokes Avenue

The project will consist of patching, overlay with 142 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 172 gallons of bitum tack coat, restriping, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Part M – Eastside Road

The project will consist of patching, overlay with 200 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 242 gallons of bitum tack coat, restriping, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Time allotted for completion shall be 90 consecutive calendar days.

Proposals for the complete work in one general contract shall be made on the proposal form provided and shall contain prices in words and figures for the work bid on. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the City of Twin City, in the amount of at least 10% of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Twin City. Each bond shall be equal to 100% of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Swainsboro as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract. Drawings and Specifications are open to public inspection at the office of the City of Twin City and at the offices of Turnipseed Engineers in Augusta and Atlanta, Georgia. Copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained from Turnipseed Engineers, 4210 Columbia Road, Building 3, Augusta, Georgia 30907, upon receipt of $75. Digital copies of the documents are not available. Upon receipt of all documents in undamaged condition within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, half of the deposit will be refunded. The difference between the deposit and the amount refunded represents the cost of reproduction. No refund will be made for documents received after 30 days or in damaged condition. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
