Emanuel County Fire & Rescue is conducting two volunteer Firefighter classes. The classes will be taught at the Twin City Fire Department with classes being held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The first class is the support firefighter. This course is designed for individuals who wish to support the firefighter. You will be taught skills to assist the suppression firefighter but will not be involved in actual firefighting. The second course will be the suppression firefighter. This course will include all the activities of the support firefighter and will include the skills needed to fight fire.
There will be an orientation to the courses at the Twin City Fire Department on Thursday, June 8, at 6 p.m. All those who may be interested in these classes are encouraged to attend this meeting.
