The Swainsboro Police Department, assisted by local and surrounding county law enforcement, held their annual Shop With A Cop event on December 16.
Local children, along with family and friends, met up with the law enforcement officers at the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Auditorium. After that, they traveled to Walmart to begin shopping!
This was the 10th year for the annual event, and thanks to many local sponsors, Shop With A Cop 2020 was a great success. A record number of 42 shoppers were paired with officers!
Children ages 3-12 are eligible to participate. Any children chosen in the previous year are ineligible, so that as many children in the community get the chance to enjoy the experience. Applications must be submitted for participation with the Swainsboro Police Department.
