U.S. Flag installed at the Brier Creek Battlefield

On Thursday February 22, BCRWBA, Inc. Chairman of the Board Tommy Christopher, Board member Steve Burke and two Planters Electric workers traveled to the Revolutionary War Brier Creek Battlefield to install the new Large 35' Piece Wind Speed 120 Mph Internal Halyard Winch Aluminum Flagpole at the memorial site. This has been an ongoing project of the Brier Creek Revolutionary War Battlefield Association, Inc. for two years. This flagpole has a 6' X 10' U.S. Flag flying from it. The flagpole was installed just in time for it to be dedicated as part of the 245th Anniversary of the Brier Creek Battlefield event on March 2. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and will honor the more than 150 Patriots that were killed and murdered on this battlefield on March 3, 1779. Besides the flagpole, the BCRWBA is constructing a very large sign at the entrance to the battlefield off Brandons Bridge Road. Hopefully the sign will be finished in a couple weeks. Thanks to the hard work of several of the 24 Board members of the BCRWBA, Inc.
