United Way is back in Emanuel County

Posted

This spring United Way of Southeast Georgia accepted applications from local non-profits for grant funding. A group of local volunteers met to review applications and make recommendations for funding. United Way of Southeast Georgia distributed $13,500 to partner agencies in Emanuel County – Emanuel County 4-H ($3,0000), The Sunshine House ($6,500) and TLC Children’s Services (4,000). Carey Cassedy, executive director of United Way of Southeast Georgia, said “we are excited to reestablish services in Emanuel County and look forward to working with local non-profits, businesses, and volunteers to help extend health and human services”. United Way of Southeast Georgia will work with local businesses to set up employee workplace campaigns. These campaigns allow employees to give to United Way in Emanuel County through payroll deduction or one-time donations. These donations will enable United Way to continue to accept applications from local non-profits, making a huge impact on the lives of our family, friends, and neighbors. If you are interested in hosting a workplace campaign, making a donation or volunteering, please contact Cassedy at ccassedy@unitedwaysega.org At the first of the year, United Way will accept 2023-24 grant applications from local non-profits.
