On Thursday, January 5, the Twin City Lions Club met for their monthly lunch meeting at Simply Southern in Twin City. Lion Tommy Neal invited Emanuel County Extension Agent Savannah Tanner to be our guest speaker. Ms. Tanner spoke to the group about the role her office plays in the community by meeting and advising local farmers on their crops, livestock and pest identification to the benefits provided to homeowners tending to their lawn or garden. The Extension Agency also helps manage the 4-H program in the county and works with all schools to provide this service to our youth.
