Twin City Lions Club celebrates 60 years

The Twin City Lions recently celebrated their 60th year as a civic organization in Twin City. The organization was charted on February 20, 1964. The Lions Club members and their spouses were treated to a steak dinner with all trimmings in recognition of the anniversary. In the past year, the Twin City Lions Club has donated over $10,000 to various causes such as the Georgia Lions Club Sight Conversation Project, The Lighthouse Foundation, The Camp for the Blind and The Leader Dog Foundation. Local donations have been to the Twin City Recreation Department, ECI scholarships for graduating seniors, food boxes at Christmas, Keep Emanuel Clean, Wreaths Across America, Weekend Blessings, The Sunshine House, the ECI Booster Club and many others.
