Twin City Elementary recognized its August Students of the Month during a special celebration honoring students who exemplify the character trait of respect on Friday, August 28, in the lunchroom. Each month, teachers select students who demonstrate outstanding character, and this month’s honorees were chosen for showing respect toward classmates, teachers, and staff.
Before the ceremony, students completed a Student of the Month coloring and word-find activity. During the event, Mrs. Southall, TCE’s counselor, announced each student’s name and read a statement from their teacher explaining why they were selected and how they demonstrated respect.
After the recognition, Principal Jessica Collins presented each student with a certificate. Students then celebrated with their families, enjoying donuts and juice. Twin City Elementary thanks Ay Wey, Taco Bell, and Wendy’s for generously donating prizes for the Students of the Month. Their support made the celebration even more special.
