The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court July 2023 term:
Joel Isaac Walker negotiated a Guilty-Alford plea on one count aggravated child molestation. He was fined $50 with 25 years to serve and life on probation. Defendant is sentenced for a total of life, with the first 25 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Adam Hackle negotiated a Guilty-Alford plea on one count possession of meth with intent to distribute. He was fined $50 with 10 years probation and 170-180 days in PDC. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served from 7/19/23 – 9/20/23.
Anthony Turberville negotiated a Guilty plea on one burglary in 2nd degree. He was fined $50 with 5 years probation and completition of DRC; theft by receiving with 5 years probation. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 5 years to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. The above sentence includes a behavior incentive date of 9/20/2026 in accordance with O.C.G.A. 17.10.1
