Royal and Gladys Whicker of the Cross and Green Community celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The celebration took place at the Wadley Community Center on August 12, 2023. The gathering was hosted by their children and included a variety of guests which included Royal and Glady’s siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as cousins and friends. Many of The Whicker’s longtime neighbors, church leaders and fellow church members were in attendance. Special guests and performances included Eric Taylor (Gospel Violinist from Hampton, VA), Travenia Outer (soloist), Greg Jones (DeeJay) and Praise Dancer LaToya Bacon.
