The Forest-Blade is pleased to announce the publication of community input through polls. This week, The Blade staff reached out to locals and asked their opinions regarding the Swainsboro Mayoral Race. Here’s what four locals had to say:
Question - With the current affairs going on with the city of Swainsboro, what do you think about the mayor’s race?
Lillie Brown - I think it’s time for a change here in Swainsboro. Things have been the same for years and we need more opportunities. This is a good place to live, but we defiantly need more than what we have here.
John David Bailey - I am concerned that outside entities will try to make this a “racial election” rather than a local issues election.
Michael Holden - I think it’s definitely time to get a new Mayor and I think Greg Bennett is the man for the job!
Jessykuh Hall - I think it will be a close race. Both candidates will bring good things to the community.
