The Forest-Blade makes HEART Contribution

Posted

The Forest-Blade recently presented a contribution to Emanuel Medical Center through the Georgia HEART Program. Georgia HEART allows businesses and individuals to direct their Georgia income tax dollars to qualifying rural hospitals, such as Emanuel Medical Center.

Funds received through the Georgia HEART Program will facilitate upcoming improvements to Emanuel Medical Center facilities, including the expansion and redesign of the EMC Emergency Department, and an addition to the Emanuel County Nursing Home.

“We are grateful for our community partners like The Forest-Blade. Through their support of our hospital, they are making an investment in the health and well-being of our community,” said Lynn Brinson, EMC’s Director of Development. Through Georgia HEART, any individual or business with Georgia income tax liability can choose to keep their tax dollars local through their contribution to Emanuel Medical Center. There is still time to participate for the 2023 tax filing year, but time is running out. To participate or learn more about Georgia HEART, contact Brinson at 478-289-1274 or lynn.brinson@emanuelmedical.org, or visit georgiaheart.org.
