"Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." John 1:29

Easter is this Sunday, April 17. Children around Emanuel County are anxiously awaiting Peter Cottontail, hoping that he’ll fill their Easter baskets with chocolate bunnies, yellow peeps, prize eggs, and other goodies! Of course, there’s more to Easter than our favorite rabbit and the treats that he leaves behind. Easter is a time of remembrance, a reminder that Jesus Christ died for our sins on Calvary so that we may live and rise again. We at The Forest-Blade hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter and remember that He is the reason for the season. Our office will be closed April 15, in observance of Good Friday. We will resume normal business hours Monday, April 18. Pictured is Gabriel, a 2-month-old katahdin lamb. According to his owner, he is very docile, friendly, easy going and doesn’t need annual shearing.
