The Georgia Diocese Churches of the Living God Inc. announces its 92nd Diocese State Assembly to be held Wednesday – Sunday, August 2 - 6, 2023, at Williams Grove Holiness Church, 302 West M.L.K. Jr. Blvd. in Swainsboro. The theme for this assembly is "The Fields are White already to Harvest, John 4:35".
According to Bishop Bertha Jones, the Georgia Diocese Presiding Prelate nightly services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Apostle Alice Davis of Triumph in Praise of Sillmore will open the services on Wednesday night. Minister Takeem Davis of Sanctuary C.L.G. of Stillmore will be preaching on Thursday night, followed by Elder James Blair of China's Temple C.L.G. of Wrightsville on Friday night. On Saturday morning, "Consecration Services" will be at 11:00 a.m. with preaching by Overseer Jerry D. Bartley of the Delaware Diocese Churches of the Living God. Saturday night, there will be a musical featuring local groups and talents, beginning at 6 p.m. with Elder Melissa Nelson presiding from The House of Faith of Wrens. The services for this assembly will climax on Sunday with Sunday School at 10:30 a.m. by Superintendent Brenda Corley. The morning worship will be at 11:30 a.m. with Bishop Bertha Jones bringing the Annual Message.
