The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court July 2023 term:
Joshua Tharpe, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one felony count theft by taking. He was fined $50 with five years probation, 170-180 days in PDC. Defendant is sentenced to a total of 5 years to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody from 4/22/22 to 7/26/23. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).
