Ten sentenced in Superior Court

The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court July 2022 term:

Adam Vertis Mills negotiated a plea of guilty on one count criminal damage to property in the second degree and one count obstruction of an officer. He was fined $1,000 and sentenced to 10 years probation.

Jahheme Kesean Miller negotiated a plea of guilty on one count possession of cocaine, one count driving while license suspended and one count obstruction of an officer. He was fined $500 and sentenced to three years plus 12 months, with the first three years to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation.

Crystal Jordan negotiated a plea of guilty on one count aggravated assault and three counts cruelty to children in the third degree. She was fined $50 and sentenced to 10 years probation.

Amahri Huston negotiated a plea of guilty on one count burglary – first degree, one count aggravated sodomy, one count rape, one count aggravated assault and one count cruelty to a child – first degree. He was fined $50 and sentenced to life with the first 25 years to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation, provided that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the court as part of this sentence.

Javier Alegria negotiated guilty (Alford) pleas on one count aggravated sexual battery, four counts enticing a child – indecent purposes; and seven counts child molestation. He also negotiated an additional plea of guilty on one count child molestation. He was sentenced to life, with the first 25 years to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation.

David Michael Williams negotiated a plea of guilty on one count theft by taking. He was fined $50 and sentenced to 20 years, with the first 18 months to be served in confinement and the remainder on probation. He received credit for time served in custody from 2/26/2021.

Justin Jerrell Cannady negotiated guilty (Alford) pleas on one count possession of cocaine and one count possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He was fined $500 and sentenced to 10 years probation.

Repeat Offenders

Samantha Reese, a repeat offender as imposed, negotiated a plea of guilty on one count possession of meth and two counts possession of drug related object. She was sentenced to three years probation. The court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Justin Mark Driggers, a repeat offender as imposed, negotiated a plea of guilty on one count possession of meth, one count obstruction of an officer and one count giving false information. He was fined $1,500 and sentenced to three years probation. The court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Ashley Nichole Archer, a repeat offender as imposed, negotiated a plea of guilty on one count burglary in the first degree. She was fined $50 and sentenced to 20 years probation. The court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).
