Swainsboro native Ivy Cadle named to leadership role by national law firm of Baker Donelson

(Atlanta, Georgia/February 1, 2024) The national law firm of Baker Donelson has named Ivy N. Cadle, a Swainsboro native, office managing shareholder for the Firm's Atlanta and Macon offices.

Mr. Cadle is a 1996 graduate of Swainsboro High School and a 1997 graduate of East Georgia State College, where he obtained an associate degree in Biology with high honors. He next studied at the University of Geor-gia, where he earned a B.S. in Biology, cum laude, in 2000 and a Masters of Accountancy in 2002. After working at KPMG in Atlanta for two years, Mr. Cadle returned to middle Georgia, where he received his Juris Doctorate from Mercer University's School of Law in 2007.

In June 2024, Mr. Cadle will become the 62nd president of the State Bar of Georgia. He has served the Bar as a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Governors, and he has earned numerous recognitions for his bar service, including the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Award of Achievement for Outstanding Service to the YLD, Award of Achievement for Outstanding Service to the Bar – Leadership Academy, and the Eighth Annual Ethics & Professionalism Award. Mr. Cadle is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law, Litigation – Land Use and Zoning, and Commercial Litigation, and he has been recognized by Georgia Super Lawyers in the area of Eminent Domain every year since 2014.

Mr. Cadle is a lawyer who tries cases and gets results for his clients across a broad range of industries in complex business litigation. He is also a certified public accountant, as well as a mediator and registered neutral with the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution. Mr. Cadle's litigation practice focuses on complex real property litigation across all areas touching real estate, including zoning, land use, eminent domain, and conservation easements, among others.
