Swainsboro High School brought students, families, and community members together Thursday, October 29, for its first annual Trunks, Treats & Touchdowns event, combining Halloween fun with friendly football competition.

The evening featured a Trunk-or-Treat celebration with participation from school clubs, organizations, fall sports teams, and local first responders. Families enjoyed an opportunity to fellowship, collect treats, and celebrate Tiger pride.

The excitement continued with grade-level Powderpuff football games, where students competed for bragging rights. Derrick Jones and Cedd Seabrough’s team came away with the championship, adding to an entertaining evening on the field.

Organizers considered the inaugural event a success, with a solid community turnout and plenty of excitement among the students. With hopes of making next year’s celebration even bigger and better, the school looks forward to increased participation from local businesses, organizations, families, and community partners.

The evening reflected the spirit behind the event’s motto: “One School. One Community. One Tiger Family!”
