Swainsboro High School’s Beta Club has been named a 2025–2026 National Beta School of Distinction, earning national recognition for its continued growth and commitment to developing students through achievement, character, leadership, and service.

The National Beta School of Distinction Award recognizes schools whose Beta Clubs demonstrate growth by increasing club membership by at least 10 percent from the previous school year. The award reflects a school’s commitment to giving more students opportunities to get involved in an organization centered on academic excellence, exemplary character, leadership development, and service to others.

Swainsboro High School is among 2,959 schools nationwide recognized as National Beta School of Distinction recipients for the 2025–2026 school year.

The increase in membership represents more than simply growth in numbers. It reflects an increasing number of SHS students choosing to become involved in their school and community while challenging themselves to uphold the standards and values represented by National Beta.

Through their involvement in Beta Club, students have opportunities to strengthen leadership skills, serve others, pursue academic achievement, and develop qualities that will benefit them well beyond high.

As a recipient of the distinction, Swainsboro High School will receive a congratulatory letter, digital badge, press release, and a National Beta School of Distinction banner to proudly display at the school.

Swainsboro High School congratulates its Beta Club members and advisors on this outstanding national recognition and thanks them for their continued dedication to representing SHS through excellence, leadership, character, and service.
