Swainsboro football getting things going in summer workouts

Posted

After an exciting season that led to a State Championship berth last season, the Swainsboro Tigers football team is scratching and clawing to get the chance to return to that stage. The Tigers have had voluntary workouts since school got out and just began mandatory workouts this past Monday. This shows the dedication of the kids to commit to coming and being there for one another each and every day by choice. These kids strive to be great and we’ve seen them do it on the biggest stage. The Tigers offense will be led by a big offensive line starting with Senior Kason Palmer and a large stable of running backs including returning starters Demello Jones and Qin Brown. The defense is ready to give offenses nightmares and they are as physical as can be. Head Coach Scott Roberts complemented the kids' summer saying, “We've had a good summer. We're looking forward to getting going.” The Tigers will continue to work hard and will be ready when their season begins!
