The Brier Creek Chapter Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting, Thursday night, February 2, at Walls Restaurant in Sylvania. With President Wayne Howard presiding, they had 26 in attendance. Dual member Dess Smith III presented five Flag Streamers to the Sgt-at-Arms Don Bazemore that the Brier Creek Chapter had won at the GASSAR Annual Conference in Duluth for outstanding areas. President Wayne inducted Bernard Martin's three sons into the Brier Creek Chapter, Bernard Martin II, Benjamin Martin and Joe Martin. Historian Larry Stevens from Savannah then presented his program, "Hornets’ nest in Wilkes County, GA" to the Chapter.
