The SPS students have enjoyed the Charlie Cart visiting their classrooms this year! A Charlie Cart is a mobile kitchen on wheels complete with a sink and electricity. The cart was purchased five years ago and was funded by the Dairy Alliance and the Mill Creek Foundation. Since the original purchase, all classes and projects have been funded by the Mill Creek Foundation. This semester, the students have cooked strawberry shortcake and Indian flatbread. The Charlie Cart provides students with hand-on, curriculum-aligned lessons on food preparation and cooking.
