During the week of May 4-7 Family Connection provided the classrooms at Twin City Elementary with a "Spring Book Surprise". This was a fun way to get students excited about reading in the classroom while supplying the teachers with some new books for their classroom libraries.
Through a grant from the Mill Creek Foundation, Family Connection was able to purchase books for each teacher to receive 10-12 new books. The books were wrapped in colorful gift wrap in 5 separate packages so that each day of the week, new books would be revealed to the class and their teacher.
