Sponsored Shelter Adoptions Continue Throughout Month of August

Posted

Betty Gambrell Animal Shelter proudly announces free adoptions at the local shelter until the end of August. Sponsored by the Emanuel County Humane Society, the opportunity for free adoptions began July 13 and will end August 31. So, if you’re looking to add a four-legged companion to the family, now is the perfect time to take advantage of this free adoption opportunity that covers associated costs of altering, rabies vaccinations and adoption fees for your new best friend!

Perhaps adopting a pup isn’t suitable for life right now, but you still would like to help in other ways? The Betty Gambrell Animal Shelter welcomes volunteers interested in lending a helping hand in caring for its four-legged residents and accepts donations! Donations can be brought into the shelter during regular business hours or purchased from the shelter’s Amazon Wishlist. All items purchased through the Amazon Wishlist will be delivered by mail to the shelter.

The Betty Gambrell Animal Shelter is located at 343 Market Street in Swainsboro. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. For additional information regarding adoptions and volunteer/donation opportunities, contact the shelter at 478-237-4040.
