Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported...

August 20

911 dispatched officers to East Pine Street for a suicidal subject with a defibrillator. The offender was found to be intoxicated and refused to stop or respond to law enforcement and became irate. Offender was arrested for disorderly conduct and was transported to the hospital.

Offender was arrested for an active warrant.

Offender was arrested for probation revocation.

August 21

Officers were dispatched to Carver Street in reference to people at the end of the road making noise and possibly arguing. Upon arrival, officer noticed a vehicle and approached it after a male exited the vehicle and walked around the back of it. Officer shined his light under the vehicle and located a firearm with an extended magazine. The firearm was confiscated and placed into evidence.

Officer was dispatched to the Days Inn in reference to a female that had gotten into an altercation with someone and was bleeding from her eye. Offender was no longer on scene and was intoxicated. The victim started to get irate with officers and was placed under arrest and resisted arrest. The other offender was not located.

August 22

911 dispatched officers to Gumlog Road for an altercation, it was advised that the caller stated her daughter and another female had been in a physical altercation and the offender busted the windshield on a vehicle. The offender was not located at that time.

Officer walked out of SPD and was met by two subjects wanting to speak with him. C/p stated that she and the offender had been arguing and she wanted him to get out of the car. The offender got out of the car and was unsteady on his feet and slurring his words with a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. He then left walking. Later in the day, officers received a call from another c/p who stated that a male was standing on the side of the road screaming for help with a busted eye. He stated that he was jumped by some people he was transported to the hospital and was later placed under arrest for public intoxication and interference.

Officer was on Gumlog Road in reference to a damage to property report involving a vehicle. The victim stated that the rear windshield of her vehicle had been broken out with a beer bottle. She further stated who she believed to be the offender due to a previous incident.

Officer responded to Carver Street in reference to a vehicle illegally parked in the roadway.

Officer took a damage to vehicle report at SPD. C/p stated that the offender struck her vehicle with a lawn chair.

Officer was dispatched to Rentz Street in reference to a battery report. C/p stated that she and her boyfriend became involved in a verbal argument and he struck her in the head multiple times with his hands. The offender denied striking her.

Offender was arrested for an active warrant.

August 23

Officers were dispatched to the area of North Coleman Street in reference to shots fired. Shell casings were located but no offender was.

Officer responded to Allen Street in reference to a juvenile being abused. C/p stated that this nice abuses her daughter and was beating on her. The mother stated that c/p has dementia. No marks or bruising was found on the children in the residence.

Officer responded to Marion Street in reference to a domestic that had already occurred. C/p advised that she and her live-in boyfriend got into a verbal altercation when he attempted to hit her.

Officers met with c/p who advised that someone is at their residence when it is supposed to be empty. Residence was cleared and the landlord advised locks were going to be changed.

Officer was dispatched to Lucky Street in reference to a damage to vehicle report. C/p stated that he believed the mother of his child damaged his vehicle sometime during the previous night. He was advised of the process of obtaining a TPO.

August 24

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle without valid insurance. Offender was found to have an active warrant and was placed under arrest.

Officers received a call to respond to Jerome Street in reference to a stolen bicycle. C/p stated that the offender came by the residence and grabbed his electric bike by the handles and took off with it.

Officer responded to Pratt Avenue for a dog bite. No contact was made with the apparent owners.

Officer responded to Calhoun Street in reference to a dog bite. The victim was transported to the hospital, and animal control took custody of the dog.

Officer took a report at SPD regarding damage to vehicle.

Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to North Green Street in reference to females refusing the leave the property at the owner’s request. 911 advised that the females had several males with there with one of them observed tucking an unknown object underneath his shirt. All parties were separated.

Officer responded to North Main Street in reference to a medical call. 911 advised that a male was possibly attempting suicide by taking medication. EMS transported the subject to the hospital.

Officer responded to a 911 hang up call. No contact was made.

August 25

Officer was dispatched to SPD in reference to c/p within to make a report regarding a domestic incident. The woman was advised of the available remedies and told to contact her local law enforcement due to the incident occurring in Alabama and out of jurisdiction.

Officers responded to West MLK Blvd in reference to an unresponsive male. The subject was pronounced deceased on the scene.

911 dispatched officers to Lake Luck Drive in reference to a domestic disturbance in process. All parties were separated.

August 26

911 dispatched officers to Electric Drive in reference to a violation of a TPO.

Officer was dispatched to the emergency room for a juvenile who had been jumped by two boys at school. The mother was advised to go to the school and speak with the SRO.

Officer was dispatched to Lambs Bridge Road in reference to a civil matter. C/p stated that he had paid a subject to do body work on his vehicle and the subject had was no longer contacting him.

August 27

Officer was dispatched to McCorkle Lane in reference to the calling having to report an incident that happened in Walmart. C/p stated that a male approached she and her friend in the store and invited them to his residence to get tattoos. She stated that her father told her to call the police after the subject called her and sent his address.

Offender was arrested for DUI and possession of a drug related object.

Officer was dispatched to East Pine Street in reference to a dispute. All parties were separated.
