August 15

Officer was stopped on Drake Avenue by a male complainant requesting a report to be made about his missing dog. The dog was described as being a 4–6-month-old poodle with short hair on its body and long brown hair on its legs.

Officer was dispatched to East Pine Street in reference to a caller requesting that a male subject be removed from his residence. C/p stated that he had allowed the male to stay at his residence for the past two days because he was homeless, but the offender had caused arguments during his stay, so he wanted him to leave. The offender left shortly after in an effort to de-escalate the situation.

Officer responded to Kite Road in reference to a mental health patient walking out of the E.R. Officer was able to return the patient to the E.R.

Officer responded to the Karrh Center due to a group of individuals being kicked out and refusing to leave. C/p stated that a group of around 11 kids were causing issues during a movie. The juveniles were told by officers to leave and not return.

August 16

Officer was working the area of East Pine Street and was asked to keep a check on the gazebo in the apartments. As officer approached the area, he detected an odor of marijuana. Marijuana was located on a male sitting in the area. The offender was placed under arrest.

Officer was at SPD for a stolen vehicle report. C/p stated that she purchased a car from offender and the registered owner had contacted her stating that it was stolen. The car did not come back as stolen. Officer contacted the owner who stated that she had sold it to a young male who only gave her half the money but was given the remainder the day before the report was made.

Officers responded to Gumlog Road in reference to an ongoing verbal domestic dispute. All parties were separated.

Officer responded to Center Street in reference to a caller stating that his grandmother was attempting to stab his aunt. The victim stated that she played a prank on the offender by sprinkling flour over her head. She further stated that this angered the offender who then retrieved a knife and began swinging it at her while telling her that she was going to make her bleed. Offender was placed under arrest.

August 17

Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to Electric Drive in reference to a complaint that a male was on a scooter, armed with a firearm, and threatening to fight and shoot c/p’s husband. Offender was not located.

Officer was dispatched to North Racetrack Street in reference to a missing juvenile. Prior to arrival, 911 advised that the juvenile had been located.

Officer responded to King Circle Drive in reference to an unknown subject ringing the caller’s doorbell. Negative contact was made with anyone in the area.

Officer was dispatched to King Circle Drive in reference to a domestic dispute. C/p stated that the mother of his child came to the residence and wanted him to accompany her to look at houses. He further stated that he declined, at which time she became upset, yelling profanities, and making threats towards him. The offender stated that she did not put hands on him and he grabbed her and choked her. Warrants were taken in reference to the incident.

Officer spoke with c/p who stated that she spoke with the victim who advised that a few days prior, the offender came to the restaurant with her 12-year-old daughter and her daughter’s friend. The offender told the victim that she did not have any money and that they were hungry. The victim allowed the woman and the children to eat at no cost. She also asked the victim for help with her light bill. C/p stated that the offender has been asking different people for money and using her daughter as part of the reason for needing financial assistance.

Officer took a walk-in report in reference to a lost wallet. C/p stated that he lost his wallet inside Walmart.

August 18

Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to Old Nunez Road in reference to a burglary that had previously occurred. 911 stated that there was no offender on scene. The victim was missing nine pairs of shoes and the pane glass on his rear door was busted.

Officers were dispatched to Thompson Road in reference to a domestic dispute. C/p stated that he and his girlfriend got into an argument because she wanted to have relations and he told her no. He further stated that she became angry and slapped him in the face and was also hitting herself in the face. The female was asked to leave.

Officer took a report at SPD. C/p stated that the offender has been making false reports saying she was following and harassing her. The was advised of the TPO process.

Officer was dispatched to North Anderson Drive in reference to a possible overdose. EMS transported the subject.

Officer spoke with c/p who stated that she was moving from the residence and that a grill had gone missing along with a floor jack.

August 19

Officer responded to Market Street in reference to a report. C/p stated that the church had come by earlier that day to bring free food and her name was on the list. She stated that she had not signed up for the items and did not need the food.

Officer responded to Sutton Drive for a welfare check. No one was inside the residence.

August 20

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD. C/p stated that two people were looking into her car on her property. Nothing was missing or damaged.

Officer responded to North Anderson Drive in reference to a counselor wanting to make a report. C/p stated that staff were shown a note from a juvenile to a friend. The note stated that they did not have to worry about her and that she would not be around much longer. C/p further stated that the juvenile had been sexually assaulted twice by an adult.
