Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

August 14

Officer met with complainant at SPD in reference to a credit account being opened in his name. C/p advised the account is not his and he does not know where it was opened from.

Officers were dispatched to Gumlog Rd. in reference to a domestic violence altercation in which offender ran from the scene. Officer met with complainant who was visibly upset and crying frantically. C/p stated she and her boyfriend were arguing and he grabbed her around the neck and started choking her and turned her over in the chair. C/p stated she tried to get away from him and he bit her on the leg and left. C/p stated that while offender was choking her, their daughter ran inside the room and saw what was going on. Offender’s son stated he heard them arguing and went inside and his father was choking c/p. C/p had visible scratches and bruises on her neck and a bite mark on her leg but refused EMS or medical treatment.

August 15

Officer responded to N. Coleman St. in reference to a damage to vehicle report.

Officer was dispatched to W. Main St. in reference to a stolen lawn mower. Complainant advised the John Deere mower was on the side of the building and did not have the key in it.

Officer met with complainant at Dollar General in reference to a dispute. C/p stated she contacted Animal Control to pick up a dog due to the nature of the dog that appeared to be suffering from the heat and a verbal dispute took place.

Officer responded to Beasley Trucking in reference to an employee stealing. C/p had offender in an office and was yelling at her and offender was crying and stated, “I don’t know why I did it”. C/p handed officer a stack of money and a key and advised it was the property that offender had stolen and advised offender admitted to stealing it prior to this incident. C/p had a camera pointing at a locked safe that shows offender unlocking the safe, going in it, grabbing a stack of money and hiding it under her arm, and closing the safe back. Officer counted the money and it was nine $100 bills, then handed it back to c/p, along with the key to the safe. Offender was handcuffed and escorted out of the building and transported to EmCo Jail.

Officer was dispatched to EMC ER in reference to a report of rape. ER Nurse informed officer that the victim reported a rape to the Mental Health evaluator. Officer spoke with the victim who stated a male subject known to her forced her to have intercourse with him eight to ten times.

Officers were dispatched to Longview Rd. in reference to a runaway juvenile.

August 16

Officer was dispatched to Enmarket and spoke with complainant who stated offender went inside the store questioning her about not being allowed in the store. C/p also stated she was informed by another employee that offender went up to her vehicle before walking in the store and pulled on her car door asking the same question. C/p informed officer that offender was issued a criminal trespass warning in June.

Officer met with complainant at SPD in reference to an investigation. C/p stated someone entered the closet under her carport and took her weed eater valued at $148.

Officer was dispatched to S. Green St. in reference to a repossession issue. Complainant stated he had paperwork to repossess a vehicle and saw it parked at Security Finance, so he backed up to it and was in the process of hooking to it when the owner/offender came out and got in it and drove off. In the process of driving off, offender had to back up and hit the wrecker.

Officer responded to Ralph Smith Place in reference to stolen packages. Complainant stated someone stole his custom knee brace valued at $900, heart leads, and Epi pens that were delivered to his front porch by USPS. Other medicine packages had been opened but nothing taken.

Officer was dispatched to S. Green St. in reference to a dog killing a cat. Complainant stated she has seen dogs running around and she believes they killed her cat. C/p stated her son is scared to walk outside in the mornings for the school bus because of the dogs being aggressive.

August 17

Officers responded to Dawson St. in reference to a female telling 911 that if someone went in her yard, she was gonna cut them. C/p stated she was awaken up by her daughter telling her that offender who lives across from them texted her mother some ugly messages and she got upset and went outside and confronted offender. C/p stated she had had problems with offender acting this way towards her and her family members unprovoked and offender has threatened to cut her.

Officers were dispatched to the Post Office in reference to a male subject wanting to make a report that the PO was refusing to give him his mail. Complainant stated the PO refuses to deliver his mail to his mailbox on N. Green St. and they want him to put his mailbox up at the intersection of Powell St. and N. Green St. which is up the hill from his house. Officer spoke with the Post Master who stated they have not delivered mail on that end of Green St. in years due to it not being maintained.

Officer met with complainant at SPD to report someone unknown to her filed taxes using her information. C/p stated she has not filed taxes due to her income not being enough to file.

Officer responded to WalMart in reference to a shoplifter. Complainant advised offender put steaks and socks totaling $135.43 in her tote bag and attempted to leave the store without paying. Offender was placed under arrest and transported to EmCo Jail.

Officer observed a vehicle with a brake light out, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer asked offender for his license and he stated he did not have them but gave his license number. Officer ran offenders’ license to find they are suspended for serious violations. Offender was arrested and transported to EmCo Jail.

Officers were dispatched to Pierce Ave. in reference to a rattlesnake in the yard. Officer observed a four-foot diamondback and contacted another officer who arrived and used his service weapon and shot four rounds before killing it, then removed it from the area.

Officer was dispatched to Roadway Inn in reference to someone threatening complainant.

Officer was dispatched to McLeod Bridge Rd. in reference to a male subject beating on the neighbor’s door. Offender stated he stays with his girlfriend and they got into an argument and he was trying to gather his things so he could leave but she wouldn’t let him in. Victim agreed to let offender gather his things and he left.
