Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

June 2

Officer was dispatched to SPD in reference to a report. Complainant advised that he was a private detective and was trying to serve the offender with some papers. He stated that he went to the residence of the offender and was greeted by a woman. After explaining to the woman that he needed to serve offender with the papers, she began to scream at him and threatened to shoot him. The woman denied these allegations and stated that she only threatened to beat him because she did not know who he was.

Officer was dispatched to SPD in reference to a report. C/p stated that he discovered that he was missing some tools from his residence. He stated that the items were under his carport and that the last time he saw them were on the night prior.

Officer responded to O’Reilly’s Auto Parts in reference to a found lawn mower. C/p stated that the lawn mower was found behind the store by the dumpster. Video footage showed a man take the mower out of the back of a vehicle and place it behind the store.

Officer was assisting another officer with a traffic stop at Northside Beverage when c/p approached him and stated that she needed to make a report. She stated that she was in the Domino’s drive thru when the vehicle in front of her backed into her.

Officer observed a vehicle with no headlights on that was about to hit the patrol vehicle. Methamphetamine was found in the vehicle.

June 3

Officer was dispatched to Howard Street and was met outside by the victim. He stated that he was arrested on May 17 for failure to appear. He stated that he went to his house the day he was released and it appeared that someone had broken into the residence. He also stated that his neighbors had seen an unknown vehicle at his residence.

Offender was issued two citations for reckless driving and laying drag or reckless contact with an automobile.

June 4

Offender was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

Officer responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting. Offender had taken items adding up to $71.05 and was issued a citation for shoplifting.

Officer was dispatched to Alice Circle in reference to damage to a vehicle. C/p stated that her mother had left her vehicle in the parking space at her residence and just before calling 911 she heard what sounded like metal hitting something and then observed the damage on the vehicle.

June 5

Offender was arrested and issued six citations for speeding, failure to stop at a stop sign x2, fleeing attempting to elude, failure to maintain lane, and DUI less safe.

Officer was dispatched to Advantage Lane in reference to a damaged vehicle. C/p stated that sometime last week, someone damaged her vehicle at an unknown location.

Officer responded to a damage to vehicle report at Durden Bank. C/p stated that while going through the drive thru, a shingle fell off the roof and damaged her vehicle. The owner of the construction company stated that the company would pay for the damage.

Officer transported offender to the Emanuel County Jail from the Chatham County Jail in reference to an outstanding bench warrant.

Officer was dispatched to the emergency room in reference to an assault that had previously occurred. Victim refused to cooperate with officer and advised that she wasn’t making a scene and wasn’t filing a report.

Officer was patrolling on the west end of Lucky Street when he heard a single gun shot. He notified other officers to see if they could locate where the shot came from. They were unable to locate where the shot came from.

Officers were serving warrants and arrested offender.

June 6

Officer responded to West Main Street in reference to a dispute. C/p stated that offender came to her house and they got into a verbal argument over some gaming headphones that she had given him as a gift. She stated that she was afraid the argument was going to become physical so she went inside and closed the door and locked it. Offender got mad and began to beat on her door very hard and she called 911 and he quickly left because he has warrants out for his arrest.

Offender was placed under arrest for failure to comply with officer.

June 7

Officer responded to West Church Street in reference to a domestic dispute. Neither party involved was arrested but both were issued citations.

Offender was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, no insurance, and window tint violation.

Officer was dispatched to Waffle King in reference to an employee stating that a female subject was there to pick up her ID and she was told to contact law enforcement. While enroute, officer was advised that the woman had left because she had an active probation warrant. She was placed under arrest.

Officer was dispatched to meet with a c/p about someone possibly breaking into her son’s house. The offender was identified by the c/p.

Officer was dispatched to Thompson Street in reference to a child custody issue. C/p stated that she let her ex-boyfriend take their son for a few hours and he agreed to have him back at her residence soon. He did not bring the son home to the residence at the scheduled time. After searching the offender was found and officer followed him back to the residence where the child was returned safely.

Offender was issued a citation for DUI and a warning for a brake light violation.

June 8

911 dispatched that the 24 hour store had been robbed. Information was gathered, along with body camera footage.
