Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported...

April 30

Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to Industrial Way in reference to a dispute between complainant and her boyfriend. The boyfriend stated that he had to work in the morning and c/p called law enforcement after he came home, ate, and laid down. He further stated that she did not want him to sleep in the same bed as her, and when he laid down to go to sleep, she called 911. C/p stated that he had been arguing with her throughout the day and accusing her of cheating. She stated that she only wanted to be left alone so she could go to bed. Both parties were advised to sleep in separate bedrooms.

C/p approached office at SPD to make a report regarding harassment by offender. She stated that she and offender were previously in a relationship, and offender had been texting and calling her after they broke things off. She then blocked his number. She further stated that the offender began contacting her son’s girlfriend. C/p stated that she wished to pursue a TPO.

911 advised officers that a third-party caller on College Street reported a male and female dispute. The caller stated that the male appeared to point a weapon at the female while she was inside a vehicle. Upon arrival, the male stated that he and his girlfriend had been involved in a verbal argument regarding repairs to their vehicle. He stated that he did not own any weapons. No threats were observed.

May 1

Offender was arrested for active warrants.

Officer responded to Project Street in reference to a report of a female breaking windows. The offender stated that she and her girlfriend had been involved in an argument. While the offender was removing her things from the residence, her girlfriend locked the door, causing offender to become irate. She then threw a cement block through a window of the residence and entered through the broken window. Offender was arrested.

Officer responded to Lewis Street in reference to a reported burglary. C/p was unable to speak clearly due to a medical condition, so family members spoke on his behalf. They advised that an unknown male, whom c/p had previously allowed to stay with him, forced entry into the apartment by pushing in two windows and breaking the lock while c/p was away.

Offender was arrested for an active warrant.

Officer responded to Summit Avenue in reference to someone stealing the caller’s dogs and cat.

May 2

Officer was dispatched to New Street in reference to a 911 hang up call.

Officer arrived on scene and observed a male at the front door with a bump on his head along with a knot on the back of his head, both injuries bleeding slightly. He stated that he had been drinking at his home and fell. He was transported to Emanuel Medical Center and doors were locked securely by officers.

May 3

Officer responded to the area of North Green Street and Lee Street in reference to a power line that was down. Officers had negative contact with a fallen power line.

Officer responded to North Coleman Street in reference to damage to property. C/p stated that an unknown person or persons intentionally stabbed three tires on her vehicle.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on North Main Street. The driver was observed taking his right hand off the wheel ad reach down while also looking down in that direction, leading the officer to believe the driver was distracted. The vehicle then drifted right, nearly striking the sidewalk. The vehicle had a strong odor of marijuana. A search was conducted and marijuana was located. Offender was arrested.

May 4

911 dispatched officers to New Street in reference to two males wearing masks walking into the residence. 911 advised the offenders were no longer on scene. The resident stated he made them leave when they walked in.

911 dispatched officer to Georgia Southern East Georgia campus in reference to assisting campus police. Campus police stated he found two firearms on two males. He stated that he handcuffed one and needed officer to handcuff the other because he did not have a second set. Offenders were arrested.

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD. C/p stated that she was attempting to purchase a vehicle through Facebook. She stated that the female she was buying from was supposedly from Nebraska, and the car was being shipped through a company named Shiply. The stated that she paid a large sum of money that she has not been able to make contact with the woman.

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD. C/p stated that her uncle had been calling her and others from jail and speaking about her. The jail was notified.

911 dispatched officers to the Easy Stop in reference to a female that was being irate. The store clerk stated that she was tired of the offender bothering her. She further stated that this was the third time that the offender had confronted her over a male. The offender left the store before police arrival. She stated that she was going to take a restraining order out.

Officer responded to North Anderson Drive in reference to an unwanted person. C/p stated that he and his brother got into an argument, and offender would not leave. He stated that once he said he was calling 911 the offender left.

Officer was dispatched to North Racetrack Street in reference to a theft from a vehicle. C/p stated that he noticed items missing from his vehicle and believes they were stolen while he was in Statesboro.

911 dispatched officers to the intersection of West Meadowlake Pkwy and Old Nunez Road in reference to a disabled vehicle obstructing the roadway. C/p advised the vehicle’s battery was dead. Vehicle was towed.

May 5

Officer was dispatched to the ER in reference to a patient who reported being physically assaulted. The victim stated that she is approximately 12 weeks pregnant. She stated that while at New Image Night Club she was a male push her to the ground. She was dancing near offender’s girlfriend when the girlfriend told her not to do that. That led to a verbal altercation at which point the girlfriend attempted to strike her. The offender then pushed her, causing her to fall to the ground.

Officer was dispatched to South Coleman Street in reference to stolen property. C/p stated that in the middle of April, the Sheriff’s officer contacted him on reference to towing the semi-truck from the side of I-16 after it was left abandoned. He stated that he noticed the lug nut caps to the rear tire of the truck was laying on the concrete along with the tires being replaced.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with dark tint. The driver had two children in the vehicle that were not restrained. It was found that the driver had a warrant and was arrested.

Offender was arrested for an active warrant. Officer received a phone call from c/p who stated that around three years ago, his business experienced an issue involving an unknown individual hitting golf balls into the business parking area. A report needed to be made for insurance purposes.

911 dispatched officers to South Main Street in reference to c/p reporting a stolen financial card that had been used at the location. The owner of the card stated that he received it on May 2 and activated it that same day. He advised that on May 4, he left work for his lunch break with the offender and asked him to read the card number aloud so he could look at his balance. He stated that after returning to work, he could not find his card.

Offender was arrested for a probation violation.

Officer responded to East Pine Street in reference to a harassment complaint. C/p stated that the offender was harassing her via phone and in person.

Officers responded to North Racetrack Street in reference to a male subject threatening suicide. Upon arrival, officers were notified that there was another male and five kids in the residence. The male was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation and all in the residence were removed safely.

May 6

Officer was dispatched to Seventh Street in reference to a possible domestic dispute. Upon arrival both individuals involved appeared to be highly intoxicated. During the investigation, it was determined that the offenders had been involved in a verbal argument where the female asked the male to leave. The male stated that if he left, intended to take the television that was inside the residence. The female stated that she did not care if he took the television.

Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Road in reference to a complaint of a 25-year-old offender allegedly enticing a 15-year-old female for sexual acts, as well as the juvenile being unruly. C/p stated that the juvenile’s mother came to her residence and stated that her child had been communicating with c/p’s boyfriend via Facebook Messenger. She advised they had discussed meeting at the park for purpose of engaging in sexual acts.

Officers were dispatched to South Main Street in reference to a theft. C/p stated that she gave two of her employees a ride home from work and that after they exited her vehicle, her purse was missing money.

May 7

Officer responded to Sunset Drive in reference to a dog being shot within the city limits. C/p stated that her dog had been shot in the shoulder by the offender.

Officers responded to East Pine Street in reference to a third-party call regarding a man and woman arguing. The male had already left before arrival.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Kite Road in reference to a reckless driver coming into the city limits. Negative contact was made with any vehicle.

Officers were dispatched to West MLK Blvd for two females fighting. A clear plastic baggy was located on the porch that had no reaction on the test kit (fake substance). It was determined that the caller had placed the substance after an argument with the person they called 911 on. The caller was located and arrested for interference.
