Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

March 30

Offender came to SPD and was arrested due to her bench warrant.

March 31

Officer was patrolling on South Main Street conducting insurance and registration checks and a vehicle came back with no valid insurance. Officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the offender presented her insurance on her phone and it showed that it expired on March 26, 2023.

Officer was dispatched by Emanuel 911 to North Main Street in reference to criminal trespass. C/p reported that two men rode through his property on an orange golf cart without authorization. He confronted the offenders and told them not to go on his property, one of the offenders allegedly threatened him and stated that he would come back later.

Officer responded to South Main Street for someone not wanting to pay for their room. C/p stated that offender did not pay for his hotel room and missed his checkout time. Offender told c/p that he would come back Monday and pay for the room then or he would clean the room.

911 was notified that two vehicles drove up to him and were having a domestic dispute. Officers arrived on scene and could smell an odor of alcoholic beverage on offender’s breath. Offender was arrested for aggravated stalking.

April 1

Officer responded to Emanuel Medical Center in reference to a report of a gunshot victim. At first, victim did not want to give details as to what happened but she stated that her boyfriend shot her in the arm during a domestic altercation. Officer also spoke with victim’s brother and he said that he was on the phone with her when the incident occurred and it sounded like offender was choking victim and then the phone disconnected.

Officer was dispatched to the area of East Main Street near Fortune Loop in reference to a traffic related incident involving a near collision between two vehicles. C/p stated that she was driving when the other vehicle pulled out of a residential driveway. C/p stated that she entered the center lane to avoid collision and so did the other vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was not wearing his glasses and he thought the car was farther away.

April 2

Officer met with c/p at Washington Avenue in reference to a stolen firearm. C/p advised that while he was at a party he was sitting in his vehicle with his firearm in his lap. He turned his head to speak to his passenger and offender allegedly ran by the vehicle and reached in the driver’s window taking the gun.

April 3

Offender was arrested for possession and use of drug related objects, giving false name/address/DOB to officer, and possession of less than 1 oz of marijuana.

Officer was dispatched to SPD in reference to a report. C/p advised that the tag to her vehicle was mailed out from Atlanta on March 20, 2023, but has not been delivered to her yet.

Offender was arrested for giving a false name/address/DOB to an officer, and obstructing law enforcement officers.

April 4

C/p wanted to make a report that someone broke into his car and stole his wallet.

Officer was dispatched to South Racetrack Street in reference to a female who was bitten by a dog. The c/p stated that she was walking and a dog attacked her and bit her. She was transported by EMS and animal control was called.

Officer responded to the emergency room in reference to an assault. C/p stated that he attempted to talk out a problem with offender but then an altercation began.

Officer was dispatched to the 24 hour store in reference to a welfare check on a man who allegedly seemed to be on drugs. The man stated that he was just stressed out.

Offender was placed under arrest for battery.

April 5

Offender was arrested for possession and use of drug related objects, drugs- methamphetamine, and possession of less than 1 oz of marijuana.

Officer was dispatched to Empire Expressway in reference to threatening phone calls. C/p stated that offender was an employee that was hired through a temp agency. Offender was employed for approximately two weeks and was terminated. Offender stated that she was “coming to Nordson to see about that.”

Officer responded to Lewis Street in reference to stolen property. Officer met with c/p who advised that his mother/victim is currently living in an assisted living home and is married to offender. Offender has allegedly been removing items from their residence without permission.

Officer was dispatched to Happiness Drive in reference to a probation violation/aggravated stalking. C/p reported that offender was her son and was charged with aggravated stalking against her around June of 2021. Offender is not supposed to be around her but has come to her residence on three different occasions each time delivering food items.
