Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported...

February 20

Officer responded to Summerset Apts. In reference to an open door on an apartment. Complainant stated he saw the door open when making rounds and the tenant has net been home for nearly a month. It was determined that the dead bolt would not latch and advised he would get it fixed.

Officer responded to W. Main St. in reference to a possible domestic in a vehicle. Officer made contact with the vehicle and made a traffic stop. Male subject stated he caught his girlfriend talking to another male and got upset and during the argument, she got out the vehicle, and he was not going to drive off and leave her, but it never got physical. The female subject stated she has some mental disorders and when they began arguing, she got out to get some space and advised it never got physical.

Officer responded to Pine Needle Rd. in reference to a verbal dispute. Complainant stated she wanted her ex to leave the residence due to their relationship ending. Both advised the incident was only verbal and never got physical.

Officers were dispatched to Gumlog Rd. in reference to a dispute.

February 21

Officer was dispatched to New St. in reference to an unwanted individual at the empty residence. Complainant advised that no one was to be at the residence at any time and he did not want anyone parking or standing at the residence. C/p also stated his shed was damaged in the backyard.

Officer was dispatched to STC in reference to an alarm.

Officer responded to WalMart in reference to someone backing out of a parking space and hitting another car.

Officer was dispatched to Enmarket in reference to an employee receiving a concerning call. Complainant stated he received a call asking for his name and when he gave him his first name, the caller stated his daughter had been in the store and advised c/p had been hitting on her while she was in there, but c/p said he never said anything out of the way to anyone.

February 22

Officer observed a vehicle’s tag not being visible, at which time he got behind the vehicle to observe it make a u-turn on Williams St., at which time officer initiated a traffic stop. Driver kept reaching into the center console and was advised not to be reaching in there. Officer asked her to step out of the vehicle, and she took off a gold necklace with an oval purse connected to it and laid it on the center console. Due to her reaching several times, officer asked if there were any illegal drugs in the vehicle and she stated no and gave consent for a search. Officer found two blunt sprays in the console and a plastic wrapper with three blunts inside the purse necklace.

Officer was dispatched to Prosperity Dr. in reference to two vehicles in the roadway. Two females walked out the residence and were advised to remove the vehicles out of the road, at which time they did so.

Officers were dispatched to Rentz St. in reference to a dispute and terroristic threats and acts.

Officers were dispatched to Lee St. in reference to several gunshots.

Officer responded to the 4-H Center in reference to doors being open. It seemed as though the doors may have been opened by the wind.

Officers responded to Enmarket in reference to a male subject harassing a female subject.

Officer was met by complainant who stated her father’s child called her phone yelling about the child’s hair and she asked him to take the child back home and an argument endues that led up to cussing and name calling in front c/p’s three children. C/p advised offender branded a gun in front of the children as well.

Officer was dispatched to AutoZone in reference to an alarm.

February 23

Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated someone kicked the back door of her apartment.

Officers responded to S. Coleman St. in reference to the break-in of a pull-behind camper on the property.

Officers were dispatched to S. Central St. in reference to possible drug trade activity.

Officers were dispatched to Ben St. in reference to a suspicious male stating he was a contractor for GA Power and claimed he was selling solar panels.

Officers responded to Ben St. in reference to a female stating the father of her child has not been paying his court-ordered child support.

Officer responded to the 24-hour Store in reference to a female stating she thought she purchased a stolen vehicle. It was found not to be stolen.

Officers were doing a theft investigation when they learned that the offender was driving a while truck. Officer observed the vehicle and got behind it and detected an odor of marijuana while following it. Officer then initiated his emergency equipment and the driver continued to drive while moving around in the vehicle. Driver finally stopped and advised his license is suspended. When told to step out of the vehicle, he stated he was not going back to jail. After several commands, offender exited the vehicle. During the search, 4 grams of meth, 8.4 grams of marijuana and a used meth pipe were located in the vehicle. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

February 24

Officers were dispatched to Enterprise St. in reference to complainant stating her ex was at her home and she had a TPO against him. Before arrival, 911 advised the TPO expired in December.

Officers responded to S. Coleman St. in reference to complainant stating he had items stolen and were found inside a golf cart across the street.

Complainant stated someone hit her vehicle at McDonalds.

Offender was served a criminal trespass warning from the Swainsboro Housing Authority.

Complainant stated he had an unauthorized charge on his debit card for $160.

Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated someone stole hi Apple watch from CPR and his phone showed the last location was on Moreland Ave. Upon viewing camera footage, a male and female were observed walking toward the men’s locker room and the male remained inside for several minutes before exiting, then they left the building. They were observed walking north on Moreland Ave. and the male appeared to have an object in his hand that he was manipulating. Both subjects were identified based on prior interactions and stay at Rodeway Inn. Officers went to Roadway Inn and made contact with both offenders. The male subject initially denied taking the watch, then admitted that he picked it up near the steps and threw it on the side of the road. While enroute to locate the watch, offender stated the watch might still be in the motel room. The watch was located on the nightstand. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail. Officer made contact with c/p and advised him the watch had been recovered and could be picked up.

Officers responded to Best Western in reference to a male who refused to leave the hotel and had not paid for another night. Complainant stated offender paid for one night and when housekeeping went to clean the room, it was destroyed, and advised offender he had to leave, at which time he became irate. It was observed that offender had three puppies in a very small cage with no food or water. Offender was given a criminal trespass notice and received a citation for cruelty to animals.

Officer was advised by complainant that her tag was stolen off her vehicle.

Officers responded to Gumlog Rd. in reference to a male having suicidal thought. While speaking with victim, he stated several times that he wanted to harm himself and trying not to hurt others but the voices in his head were telling him to. EMS arrived and transported him to EMC.

Officer met with complainant in reference to forged checks totaling appx. $58,350.

Officer was dispatched to Deluxe Inn in reference to a confrontation. Offender was very intoxicated and made occupants feel uncomfortable.

Officer observed a vehicle sit through a traffic light and did not move. Upon running the tag number, it was discovered that the driver was known to have illegal drugs inside the vehicle. Officer initiated his emergency equipment, and the vehicle did not pull into the open parking lot but instead stopped in the middle of the roadway. Driver stated the vehicle would not move at the light and had signs consistent with impairment. During the search, multiple types of suspected drugs were found inside the vehicle not stored in their proper prescription containers. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

Officers responded to Shepard Dr. in reference to a disturbance between a mother and daughter.

February 25

Officer was on W. MLK in reference to another incident when offender showed up very irate. She was dismissed from the scene and stopped in front of officer’s unit and cussed her, then left after being told she would be arrested. She went to the Housing Authority irate demanding paperwork on an adult aged male, but it was not given to her but was explained the male subject was notified of criminal trespass from the HA. She was upset and raised her voice cussing and stormed out the door and left. Officer was made aware that offender was criminally trespassed from all HA property and made contact with her and served her with the notice.

Officer spoke with complainants who stated one’s mother has been harassing them and showing up at their home after being told not to return to the residence. C/p also stated offender has threatened her.

Officer observed a minibike without a headlight, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Offender had a warrant out of Bulloch Co., but they did not want a hold placed. Offender was given citations and released.

Officer was dispatched to EMC ER in reference to a helicopter landing.

Officer took a report in reference to complainant stating she was being harassed. C/p stated offender entered her lane of traffic attempting to strike her vehicle and is frequently near her residence.

Officer took a report about possible illegal drugs being delivered to an abandoned house. The packed was returned and once opened, five black and clear double vacuum sealed bags were found with buds of marijuana inside, weighing 6 pounds.

Officer was dispatched to Walgreens in reference to a GSP traffic stop. Upon a search of the vehicle, two rolls of marijuana were located in the console.

Officers responded to WalMart in reference to a threat. Complainant stated he went to get a battery and observed two batteries priced at $79 each and went to checkout and the price was over $100. C/p stated he then spoke with a manager who informed him that the battery had been placed in the wrong location and called the corporate office and was cussed at and threatened.

Officer was dispatched to El Valle in reference to a male subject stating he felt like he was drugged while drinking there. C/p advised he was drinking Modelo and some other males noticed so when they were leaving, they offered him what was left of their pitcher of beer. C/p stated he drank a few swallows and began feeling funny and became very energetic then noticed a while substance on the pitcher and thinks the male subjects put cocaine in the pitcher.
