Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

March 17

Officer responded to Center St. in reference to a domestic that had already occurred. Dispatch advised that complainant refused EMS. C/p advised that her boyfriend began punching her after becoming angry with her and then grabbed her throat. She also advised that her boyfriend was on hard drugs.

Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving in the center turning lane. Vehicle would not stop for officer, when he finally did, he said that he did not speak much English. He also did not have a license. Driver was arrested.

Officer responded to Dollar General in reference to a vehicle hitting a shopping cart. C/p stated that she did not see the shopping cart until it was too late and that it was in the roadway.

Officer responded to Lucky St. in reference to a burglary. Officer made contact with c/p who stated that someone that rides a bicycle kicked in his front door and stole his sister’s television.

March 18

Officer responded to the area of New St. in reference to shots fired. Caller did not want to give information but gave a name and a number.

Officers responded to Cricket Wireless in reference to an employee stealing bank deposits. C/p stated that money was missing from the deposit and the employee was fired.

Officers responded to New St. in reference to two male subjects fighting at the residence.

Officer responded to Lucky St. in reference to a burglary. C/p stated that when she arrived at her residence her furniture was disarray along with her son’s Xbox missing.

March 19

Office conducted a traffic stop where offender was arrested for DUI, failure to maintain lane, open container, and driving while unlicensed.

Officer observed an offender with active warrants walking towards West MLK, he was arrested without incident.

Officer was dispatched to the intersection of East MLK Blvd. and North Coleman St. in reference to a woman harassing and following a man.

Officer responded to the Leprechaun Car Wash in reference to an altercation that had just taken place.

Officer conducted a traffic stop where offender was arrested for DUI, drugs, and open container.

March 20

Officer was dispatched that a c/p wanted to make a report about a man stealing her money. Offender was arrested.

Officer arrested an offender for driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain lane, and possession of drugs.

Officer responded to Marion St. in reference to a stolen firearm.

Officer was dispatched to Center St. C/p stated that she was getting offenders things out of the house when offender arrived on scene after already receiving a criminal trespass warning.

March 21

Officer conducted a traffic stop due to tag obstruction. Driver had an active warrant and was placed under arrest without incident.

Officer was dispatched to Harvey’s in reference to a male subject stealing several items totaling up ti $14.32. Offender was arrested.

Officer arrested an offender for DUI and no tag light.

March 22

Officer initiated a traffic stop on an offender for a headlight being out on his vehicle. Offender attempted to flee, but officer finally caught up to them and was able to get the driver into custody, but a front seat passenger fled on foot. Offender was arrested for attempting to elude police and driving with a suspended license.

Officer conducted a traffic stop and offender was arrested for speeding operation of an unregistered vehicle, and driving with a suspended license.

Officer conducted a traffic stop where offender was arrested for driving with a suspended license and open container violation.

Officer received a call about animal abuse. Animal control took custody of the dog.

Officer was dispatched to E. Pine St. in reference to a criminal trespass.

Officer responded to Solomon St. in reference to threatening messages. C/p stated that she fired an employee earlier in the day, and that later the fired employee sent her multiple messages. The offender was begging for the money she was owed or else.
