Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported...

December 19

Officer was notified of there was an increase in activity on New Street. Multiple cars were observed with a big group of people. Officer began running the registrations on the vehicles when one came back showing the driver having an active warrant out of Washington County. Offender was arrested.

911 dispatched officers to the area of North Coleman and Williams Street for a male and female fighting. Contact was made with the female at Northside Beverage. Her mouth was busted and advised who had hit her. Offender was arrested.

Officer was dispatched to Kite Road in reference to a subject that had come into the hospital with physical injuries. She stated that there were several attackers, and she did not remember them.

C/p called officer o make a report in reference to a tag that he had recently purchased being misplaced.

C/p stated that he traveled to Statesboro and later to Emanuel Medical Center and during this time he noticed his firearm was missing.

December 20

Officer responded to College Street in reference to a verbal dispute between a husband and wife. Family members stated that the husband allegedly made a threat to shoot his wife. All parties were separated.

Officer responded to West Main Street in reference to a complainant who stated that he intended to harm himself and had taken some pills. He was admitted to Emanuel Medical Center for treatment.

December 21

Officer was getting into his patrol unit for his shift when he smelled a strange odor coming from his vehicle. It was discovered that someone had sprayed deer urine into the cabin air filter of the vehicle. A few weeks later, a can of sardines was located under the driver's seat of his unit.

Officer was positioned at Shoe Show in reference to an unresponsive male. 911 advised that he was walking and fell. The male was turned over to EMS for transport.

Officers responded to North Main Street in reference to a female caller who contacted 911 stating that her boyfriend assaulted her. It was advised that the male subject had fled on foot own New Street. Officer reviewed footage from the store that showed the woman attacking the male from behind and biting and scratching him. The woman left the scene, and officers were not able to locate her. Warrants will be taken out.

911 advised officers to meet c/p on Freedom Street in reference to wanting to peacefully retrieve her children’s things from the father. She stated that she did not feel comfortable going over there when seeing that there was a woman at the residence that she had problems within the past.

Officer responded to Enmarket in reference to a panic alarm. The employees stated that the offender called the store phone and threatened to shoot both of them when they exited the store. It was found that the same incident occurred at another Enmarket the same evening.

December 22

Officer responded to Washington Street in reference to a missing firearm. C/p stated that his stepson frequently entered his bedroom and other family members had been in and out of the residence.

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD. C/p stated that she lost her wallet. She later called back and stated that it had been located.

Officer responded to Youngblood Street in reference to c/p stating that a neighbor threatened to shoot him. Upon arrival, c/p stated that the neighbor’s dog was in his yard and he chased it away with a rake. He then stated that his neighbor told him if he touched his dog, he would shoot him and waved his gun in his face. The neighbor denied these claims.

Officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a welfare check on a female sleeping on the ground. Contact was not made but her belongings were located on the ground.

C/p came into SPD to make a report of a theft. He stated that an unknown individual used his account or debit card information to make several unauthorized charges. The total amount was around $5,000.

December 23

Officer responded to Walmart in reference to a TPO violation. C/p stated that she was inside the store shopping when she observed the offender in violation of an active TPO. She stated that she returned to her vehicle and observed his approximately five spaces down. When becoming aware of her and officer’s presence, the offender left the parking lot.

911 dispatched officers to Exhale Salon for a black male beating on the door stating, “I know you’re in there”. Upon arrival, contact was made with c/p who stated she has been having trouble with different subject doing weird things towards her like beating on her door. No contact was made that time, but officers were advised to watch the area.

Officer was waved down at the Rayco Store in reference to a reported theft. He advised that on December 20, the offender stole pork meat from a location on Brown Street. The amount valued up to $120.

Officer was dispatched to Enmarket in reference to a subject who was seen walking around a vehicle unable to keep his balance. Upon arrival, officer noticed the vehicle having visible damage to the rear bumper and grass sticking out of the front bumper. The subject attempted to pull out of the parking spot and drive up to a gas pump and appeared to be under the influence of a substance. Offender was later arrested for DUI-drugs.

Officer was dispatched to the area of Harmon Park in reference to a domestic that had previously occurred. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who advised that the father of her child had beaten her the night before.

Officer was dispatched to Mason Drive in reference to the caller stating he wanted a female gone from his residence. All parties were separated.

Officer took a walk-in report at SPD. C/p wanted to report an injury that occurred at a work Christmas party. She stated that she fell down a single step on the back patio and struck her head.

Officer was dispatched to Rainbow Ridge in reference to a damage to vehicle report. C/p stated that she did not know where the damage occurred.

Officer was dispatched to West Church Street in reference to a noise complaint. The individuals were advised to keep the noise down.

Officer was dispatched to South Main Street in reference to an individual being harassed. C/ stated that he was in the parking to with his friends when his ex approached his vehicle and started pulling on the door handles trying to get in.

Officer was dispatched to Harmon Road in reference to counterfeit money. The bartender stated that he did not remember who handed him the bill, but names two possible suspects.

Offender was arrested for an active warrant.

December 24

Officers responded to Moore Personal Care Home in reference to a patient assaulting a nurse. C/p stated that the offender punched her in the eye.

Officer responded to Freedom Street in reference to a complaint of gunshots and a white vehicle being seen leaving the area. No contact was made with an offender.

911 dispatched officers to Gumlog Road in reference to a cat in the roof of the residence. Emanuel County Fire retrieved the cat.

December 25

Officers responded to Lewis Street in reference to a male subject who had taken a female’s phone. The phone was returned.

911 dispatched officers to Booker Street in reference to what seemed like a domestic in progress. All parties were separated.
