January 4
Complainant went to SPD to report that he took his truck to have some transmission work done back in September and paid offender $3,500. C/p stated offender brought his truck back to him and told him it was fixed except for one thing and he was waiting on the part and once it came in he would put it on. C/p stated he drove the truck down the road several days later and he noticed the truck was still doing the same thing it was when he took it to offender so he looked at it and noticed nothing had been replaced. C/p stated he and offender had several conversations about it and offender was supposed to make it right but has failed to do so. C/p also stated offender was supposed to pay him his money back by this date and failed to do so.
January 5
Officer took a report in reference to a lost tag.
Officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at the stop sign, at which time he conducted a traffic stop. Officer asked the driver for her license and registration to find the registration was suspended and the vehicle did not have valid insurance. Offender’s vehicle was impounded and she was given three citations.
Officer responded to WalMart in reference to a shoplifter. Complainant stated offender was arrested on 1/4/24 for shoplifting. C/p stated he did not know everything was stolen on ¼ but he had video of offender putting items in a bag and walking out the store. Officer went to EmCo Jail and gave offender two citations for shoplifting.
Officer observed a vehicle with a brake light out, at which time he conducted a traffic stop. Officer asked the driver for her license and advised her of the reason for the stop and she stated she was unaware of the issue. Officer ran her license and registration to find her license were suspended on 7/4/22. Offender was made aware of the findings and she stated she paid the citation. Officer advised the driver she would be locked up and asked if she had someone to pick up the vehicle and passenger/child and she stated no. Officer then advised he would have to call DFCS and she stated she would call her mother. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
January 6
Officer responded to Advance St. in reference to a resident being irate and throwing items. Complainant stated offender got out of control and was being belligerent with other residents. Officer spoke with offender and got him calmed down and he stated he would go back inside and behave.
January 7
Officer responded to Gumlog Rd. in reference to a theft. Complainant/victim stated she had company for a get together and was missing $200 from her purse and stated a guest told her they saw c/p’s baby daddy going through her purse. Officer then spoke with offender and he stated he was laying on the bed and felt something under his back so he pulled it out and the purse dumped onto the bed. Offender stated he fanned the money out and put it back in the purse. Officer then asked offender if he had any cash on him and said he did and turned his pockets out and showed $31 he had on his person. The cash did not match the amount of cash c/p said was missing. Officer then advised c/p he spoke with offender and what was said but he had no proof offender took the money.
Officer observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway and as he approached it, it pulled off. Officer began to follow it and noticed the driver was failing to maintain their lane, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer recognized the driver as being arrested the night prior for driving with suspended license and could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. Officer asked for her license and she advised she could not provide them because they are suspended. Officer asked offender how much she had to drink and she would not reply and got upset and argumentative. Officer then asked for her name and she confirmed. She was then asked to do a field sobriety and she agreed. Officer attempted to get a sample of her breath and she refused. Offender was placed under arrest and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to E. Pine St. in reference to a call about damage to a mailbox. Complainant stated someone took her mailbox out of the ground. She also advised she heard noises and taps at her window the night prior.
Officer met with complainant who stated he needed a report in reference to an unknown person damaging his vehicle. It appeared someone took a hard object and went down the passenger side, scraping the paint off of it.
January 9
Officers were dispatched to S. Main St. in reference to complainant stating she picked her friend up and transported him to Enmarket where he then stole her car while she was in the store and his nephew was in the vehicle as well. Contact was made with the registered owner who provided the VIN. C/p referred to offender as her best friend and stated she thought he was hiding from warrants. 911 was advised to put a BOLO out on the vehicle and enter it as stolen.
Officer took a report in reference to a stolen Apple watch. Complainant stated her watch was on a table in her bedroom and offender was the only person to enter her bedroom to retrieve his property when he left. Officer contacted offender and he stated he threw the watch in the yard of the residence after he retrieved his property. C/p stated offender sent texts of the watch to her child after leaving the residence. Offender was asked multiple times to return the watch and he denies having it. C/p tracked it and it shows it’s moving around with offender and not in the yard. Warrant will be issued on offender.
January 10
Officer met with complainant at SPD in reference to victim advising she was sexually assaulted. Victim showed video footage from the camera showing she was asleep on a couch in a back room after closing to the public for a Christmas party. Victim advised she passed out after consuming too much alcohol and offender kept going in the room. Video showed offender shaking victim and leaving then going back in there and flicking the lights and leaving again. This occurred several times before offender went back in the room, shut the door and it appeared as though he may have locked it. Offender then pulled the back of victim’s pants up and slip his hand into her pants onto her buttocks area, then moved his hand around for a short amount of time before removing is from her pants then left the room again. Offender then went back in the room and lifted the back of victim’s pants up again and placed his face onto her buttocks area, touching skin to skin. After a short period of this fondling, offender left the room as it appeared as though victim was moving and attempting to wake up. Victim was notified of the incident the following day from the manager and sent the video to her. Warrant will be issued on offender for sexual battery.
Officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at the stop sign, at which time he conducted a traffic stop. Officer asked the driver for her license and she could not provide them due to them being suspended she has not been able to clear the suspension. Offender then provided her information and officer learned her license were suspended on 12/30/2002. Officer then explained to offender of his findings and advised she would be transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer responded to Gumlog Rd. in reference to complainant stating she and offender got into an argument and offender stated he would hit c/p in the mouth and shoot her house up. Offender then left walking. And returned while officer was still on scene and he stated he was trying to get c/p inside because the kids wanted something to eat and c/p called him a name he did not like and all he said was “that kind of stuff will get you hit around here”. Officer asked offender if he said anything about a gun and he stated he said nothing at all about a gun or shooting anything. C/p advised officer that if offender comes at her like that again she would do something about it next time. Officer advised her not to do that and to call 911 and they would respond. C/p advised she would not be calling 911 next time it happens.
