Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

November 18

Officer was dispatched to Norwood Avenue. Upon arrival officer spoke to victim who stated that he noticed his front passenger hub cap was missing from his vehicle. He did not know if it had come off or if someone had taken it.

Officer saw a vehicle driving 48 mph in a 35-mph zone. After pulling the vehicle over, officer could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. The driver also did not have a license on him. He was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana less than 1 oz.

Officer was dispatched to West Moring Street. Upon arrival, officer met with complainant who stated that his black and red bicycle was missing.

November 19

Officer was dispatched to South Main Street in reference to a threat of the life of the c/p. C/p stated that she was working as a store clerk when an unknown man entered the store. He talked and bought some cigarettes. He told her to put his change on the counter, when she did, she stated that he had other money on the counter and was talking about paying rent. He then cussed at her and she asked him to leave. He then threatened her life and she chased him out the store with a bat. He left in a car.

Officer was dispatched to Mcleod Bridge Rd. 911 advised that the caller stated that the father of her child was outside banging on the door. Upon arrival the man was on the porch and stated that he just wanted to get his cell phone after having a verbal altercation with c/p. He gathered his things, the two cussed each other a little more and he left.

Officers responded to Lewis Street in reference to a male being pistol whipped in the head. C/p/victim stated that everyone was hanging out at his residence and his nephew got into an argument with him and hit him in the temple with a pistol.

Officers responded to Harvey’s where a woman’s purse was stolen from her shopping cart. Offender was arrested and the woman’s belongings were returned to her.

November 20

Officer was dispatched to Hardee’s and spoke with c/p. She stated that she father of her child went to her mother’s residence and tried to get the child. When he wasn’t able to get her, he stole a wallet.

November 21

Officer responded to William Rountree Road in reference to unwanted people in the residence. Offender resisted arrest but was finally calmed down and was transported to Emanuel County Jail.

Officer was dispatched to Emanuel County Jail in reference to a report. C/p stated that on November 17, 2022, she hit the side of her residence on North Main Street. There was damage to the rear passenger door of her vehicle along with damage to her residence.

Officer responded to North Anderson Drive in reference to a verbal altercation outside. Both parties were arrested and issued citations.

Officer responded to SPD in reference to a report. C/p stated that offender had been texting her making threats to her brother. Texts were shown and when offender’s vehicle was seen a traffic stop was initiated. The brother was in the vehicle and stated that he was okay.

Officer responded to East Pine Street in reference to two individuals beating on the door and then leaving. C/p stated that offenders knocked on her door really hard. Her Ring camera showed two male juveniles that had on hoodies covering their faces.

Officer responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter skip scanning $40.47 worth of items. Offender was arrested and taken to Emanuel County Jail.

November 22

911 dispatched officers to Kite Road in reference to an 18-year-old who had been assaulted. C/p/victim stated that her boyfriend put his hands on her for the third time. She did not want to press charges, but would make a written report.

Officer responded to the Easy Stop where an altercation was occurring. C/p and offender had gotten into an argument over a Facebook post. C/p also had a bat because she felt threatened. Officers could only ask offender to leave because the owners only have access to the cameras.
