September 25
Officer responded to Lee St. in reference to complainant calling about her child not wanting to go to school. Officer had c/p go get her daughter and he advised the juvenile to get dressed for school, at which time she did and returned outside to go to school.
Officer met with complainants who stated they had damage to their vehicle from a wreck and took it to offender and paid him $485 to do repairs, then gave him an additional $100. C/p stated when they went to get the vehicle, the rear window was broken, and the truck was not ready. C/p stated offender said he would repair the window and asked him if he would paint the entire truck and offender stated he would, so they gave him $650. C/p stated that appx. two months passed and offender continued to give them the runaround regarding the completion of the truck and told them it would be completed by Sept. 24. C/p stated when they went back to check on it, it had only been sanded down and nothing else had been done. Officer contacted offender and had him meet at SPD. Offender advised he stopped working on the truck when he heard c/p was hospitalized but would have it finished the following Friday. Officer advised offender that he would let c/p know so they could arrange to pick it up.
Officer met with complainant who stated he received an email from a fraudulent email address claiming to be the pastor at the church.
Officer responded to W Main St. in reference to a SPD officer running complainant off the road, causing her to strike the curb and damage both tires and rims on her vehicle. Officer spoke with an officer who stated she observed c/p approaching officers but did not move over for law enforcement. The second officer stated he observed c/p approaching, there was room for him to pass c/p.
Officers responded to Watson St. in reference to the caller stating there were two dogs loose and she was afraid they were attempting to bite her and preventing her from leaving her residence.
Officer was dispatched to Kwik Shop in reference to caller stating someone jumped her son.
Officer responded to Minit Mart in reference to an aggressive driver. Complainant stated the driver sped up behind him and got extremely close to his vehicle.
September 26
Officer was dispatched to W MLK in reference to a mail carrier needing to report an inappropriate comment made to her by a male.
Officer was approached by complainant who stated he and another employee of Enmarket found a letter behind the counter and in the lady’s restroom that appeared to be a cry for help and wanted to contact authorities.
Officers responded to Days Inn in reference to a female being a nuisance.
Officer responded to Walgreen’s in reference to a wanted person. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail for active warrants.
Officer responded to Allen St. in reference to Swainsboro Fire requesting assistance.
Officer was dispatched to Lewis St. in reference to complainant stating she was away from her home when a male arrived and was acting hostile toward a friend at her residence.
Officer responded to Main & Main in reference to a male subject walking into traffic. The male subject requested medical attention due to his mental situation and was transported to EMC ER.
Officers responded to EMC ER in reference to a male being irate toward staff and was trying to leave while under a 10-13 order.
September 27
Officer responded to Stevens Dr. in reference to an elderly male walking away from his caregiver.
Officer responded to GSU-EGC Campus in reference to an incident involving a male that was banned from the campus.
Officers were dispatched to Ardern Dr. in reference to someone attempting to enter through the back door of complainant’s residence.
September 28
Officer was dispatched to Allen St. in reference to a domestic dispute.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated she found a Poulan chainsaw near Fairground Rd.
Officer was dispatched to West St. in reference to stolen items from her shed.
Officer responded to S Racetrack St. in reference to a possible domestic disturbance.
Officer responded to Carver St. in reference to complainant stating he received a call from someone informing him that it was Ga. Power and his service would be interrupted at his other property on N Main St. if it was not paid within an hour. C/p stated he was advised to send $503.18. C/p stated the individual then stated an additional $500 would be needed to open an account and that is when he realized he was scammed.
September 29
Officer was dispatched to Washington St. in reference to an unknown offender riding by the residence. Complainant stated she received information that her son was at an unknown house and was jumped and robbed of his cellphone and suffered a hurt leg. Victim facetimed his mother and stated he needed to go to the hospital. Victim and his mother were scared to answer questions because they said people would harm them.
Officer responded to Calhoun St. in reference to a theft.
Officer responded to City Trends in reference to an employee theft of appx. $1,200 worth of merchandise.
Officer spoke with complainant who stated she signed a rental agreement with offender on Lee St. and paid $100 security deposit and was advised she would be able to move in within a few days. C/p stated she later discovered offender leased the property to another individual and it was a mistake and he would locate another property for her in the near future and is currently homeless.
September 30
Officers were dispatched to Longview Rd. in reference to a male stating a female needed to leave the residence and had a firearm.
Officer observed a driver not wearing his seatbelt, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. It was determined that the driver does not have a valid license. Officer detected an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the driver’s breath and asked him to perform a PBT, which he agreed. Driver tested positive for alcohol and was arrested for DUI and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer responded to Lee St. in reference to damage to property.
Officer responded to STC in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Complainant showed officer a transfer truck that was parked oddly and did not belong to STC. C/p advised the truck was still running and that a female got out of it and started walking toward High St. Officer made contact with the driver and began asking him questions and determined that he and the female were having relations. Driver was informed that he could not park on STC property.
Officers were dispatched to Lewis St. in reference to a male bleeding. Officers were informed that victim was found in a ditch and his eyes were bloodshot red and glassy. Victim stated he had been to see his mother and fell. EMS arrived and transported him to EMC ER.
October 1
Officer was informed that a hit confirmation had been received on offender. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to EMC in reference to a female caller stated she had been attacked by four females outside Gumlog Apartment complex.
Officer observed a vehicle at the Veterans Park strike a 4x4 post and a flagpole. Officer yelled at the male to stop and exit the vehicle and approached him. Officer recognized the driver from prior interactions and asked how many alcoholic beverages he had consumed, and he stated four Natty Daddy’s. Officer observed the driver’s eyes to be bloodshot and glassy with slurred speech and appeared unsteady on his feet. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to W Main St. in reference to a male caller stating his neighbor was threatening to fight him.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated a vehicle struck his mailbox on Oaklawn Dr., stopped in the roadway for brief moment and left.
Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Rd. in reference to a female caller stating her two daughters regularly go to the park and play, and a group of females approached them and slapped her nephew.
Officer was dispatched to Stevens Dr. in reference to complainant losing her cellphone. C/p advised she had another phone she was using to track the phone and the last location was on Project St. Officer went to the location and spoke with residents who stated they had not seen a cellphone.
Officer responded to Lakewood Dr. in reference to an unwanted person at the residence. Officer was notified that the subject left the residence and was walking down Harmon Park. C/p advised she did not want offender back at her house and requested a Criminal Trespass warning be issued if she returned.
Officers were dispatched to Jerome St. in reference to complainant stating individuals were entering his property.
