October 12

Officer was dispatched to Lewis St. in reference to an altercation and met with another officer who stated when he arrived, all parties were going separate ways. Officer spoke with offender who stated a confrontation started by her apartment and continued towards another apartment. After speaking with her, officer spoke with a male subject who stated he had a gun but it was clean and it did come back clean. The male subject stated there was a bunch of people arguing but there wasn’t anything physical.

Officer was dispatched to SPD in reference to a report about complainant stating she is the executor over a residence on Calhoun St. and she installed cameras due to issues of suspected trespassing and while viewing the footages, she saw her brother/offender enter the home. C/p stated the Wifi box connected to the cameras was taken, causing the cameras to no longer work.

Officer was dispatched to SPD in reference to complainant stating her tag was supposed to arrive in the mail and it never arrived.

Officer responded to a call in reference to a possible drunk driver. Officer located the vehicle at a gas station and waited on the driver to come out of the store and was observed getting in the vehicle with a case of beer. The driver got in the vehicle and began to back up and officer pulled up next to the vehicle and asked if he could speak with her and she stated yest. Officer got out and spoke with the driver and could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver. Officer asked how much she had to drink and she stated 4-5 about 5 hours earlier. Officer then asked if she would do a PBT and she agreed. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail for DUI.

Complainant wanted to file a report against offender due to him being paid to repair his vehicle. C/p stated offender requested $1,350 but has not repaired the vehicle or returned it. C/p’s son took his vehicle to offender and paid him $5,000 and nothing has been done to it either.

Officer observed a vehicle traveling 45 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. He followed the vehicle for a little bit and observed it going in and out of lanes passing other vehicles at 56 MPH in a 45 MPH zone, then 65 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. Officer was able to get behind the vehicle and run the tag to find that it is not insured, at which time he made a traffic stop.

October 13

Officer was dispatched to Advance St. in reference to someone killing complainant’s cats. C/p was visibly upset and stated someone killed her cats and threw them in her back yard and suspects her neighbor’s son did it due to a past dispute with him. C/p also stated cars pull through h er yard all the time and go over to the neighbor’s house.

Officer responded to Easy Stop in reference to harassing phone calls. Complainant/victim stated her ex-boyfriend keeps calling and messaging h er after she’s asked him several times to stop contacting her. C/p was advised to block offender and that if she is worried that he will show up at her residence, to obtain a restraining order, and to call 911 if he showed up.

Officer responded to S. Main St. for someone going into a vehicle. Complainant stated she had $100 in her vehicle and someone took it. C/p also stated a female subject was seen by her vehicle.

Officer observed a vehicle without a working headlight, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer made contact with offender and asked for his license to be told he did not have a license. Offender gave his name and DOB and stated he has never had a license. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

Officer was asked to see if offender had a probation warrant and it was determined that he did. Officer went to Neal St. and deputy had offender out of the vehicle. Offender was placed under arrest and transported to EmCo Jail.

Officer spoke with complainant who advised his firearm was stolen.

October 14

Officer met with complainant on Gumlog Rd. in reference to a child custody dispute. C/p advised the father of her three children went to her residence and told the children to “let’s go” and left the location on foot with the children, and it was not his weekend to have them.

Officer responded to Racetrack St. in reference to a domestic dispute. Complainant/victim and offender were on the porch and c/p stated offender put his hands on her during an argument and struck her in the face. Offender stated he did not put his hands on c/p but they had an argument and c/p turned over a TV and other items in the house during the argument. Both were highly intoxicated.

October 15

Officer was stopped by complainant on N. Coleman St. who stated she put her phone on top of her friend’s car and when she went back to get it, it was gone.

October 16

Officer was dispatched to Shepard Dr. in reference to a damaged vehicle. Complainant stated he found damage to his taillight, passenger side panel and passenger front bumper and thinks someone may have backed into his vehicle.

October 17

Officer observed a vehicle go over the center lane several times, at which time he attempted to make a traffic stop and the vehicle failed to stop. Officers followed the vehicle and were finally able to get it to stop. Officers gave verbal commands for the driver to exit the vehicle and were able to get her to exit. Officers began speaking with the driver and asked for her name and she shook her head no and continued to refuse to give her name. Officer was able to identify the driver and she was very unsteady on her feet and very irate when asked how much she had to drink and she stated one shot. Officer then asked offender why she wouldn’t stop and she stated she didn’t know why. As officer continued to talk with offender, she stated she wouldn’t do anything for them. Officers then asked about a field sobriety and she stated she would then stated she wouldn’t. She would sway and lean over and yell and become more irate all at the same time. Officer then sat offender in the backseat of his patrol unit and asked if she would give a blood sample and she stated she would so she was transported to EMC ER. While walking offender into the ER, she became very irate using vulgar language and snatching away. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail for DUI 7th offense and has been convicted of four DUIs and three pending DUIs. She was also charged for revoked license 3rd offense and failure to maintain lane.

October 18

Officer responded to Harmon Rd. in reference to a domestic dispute. Victim stated she and her husband are separated and he has been staying at the residence with his sister for two weeks and she agreed to give her husband a ride to an appointment. After the appointment, victim drive offender back to his sister’s house and as she was leaving, offender would not get out of her car and let her leave. While other officers were speaking with offender, he became agitated and reached into his pockets after being told not to, at which time he was detained.
