The Patrick Carr Rangers Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution, held its monthly meeting at President David Hargrove's home in Waynesboro, March 9, at 7 p.m. With President David Hargrove presiding, they had eight in attendance, including one guest. President David opened the meeting with a welcome and a prayer, then the Pledge to the U.S. Flag and the Pledge to the SAR. They then enjoyed a great meal prepared by President Hargrove. President David called on Dess Smith for a special presentation. Dess presented President David and Treasurer Bill Tinley with three Chapter Flag Streamers for Dess presenting the Patrick Carr Rangers chapter wreath at the Elijah Clarke Heroes of the Hornets’ Nest event, the 247th Anniversary of the Battle at Kettle Creek event and the 247th Anniversary of the Battle at Brier Creek event. President David then called on Treasurer Bill Tinley for a special report on the Revolutionary War event about the Burke County Jail.
