Skunkers Steve Burke, Dess Smith III, Ted Walker and Bernard Martin traveled to Allendale, SC to present their Travelin Trunks to the USC Salkehatchie on Saturday, March 21. The event started at 10 a.m. and lasted until 3 p.m. The Skunkers presented their two Travelin Trunks to approximately 150 attendees and were fed a great fried fish lunch by sponsors Rachael Sharp and Anne Rice. Around 2 p.m., Chief Se'khu Hadjo presented his program on Yamassee Native American Indians Culture, Heritage and Practices. He talked about the Forgotten Tribe of History: The Yamassee Indians. Burke and Smith are members of the Wiregrass Chapter in Swainsboro, Martin is a member of the Brier Creek Chapter in Screven County and Walker is a member of the Henry Laurens Chapter in Aiken, SC.
