Shelter animals need a home

Posted

The Animal Shelter needs your help! This is the next group of dogs that have been at the Betty Gambrell Animal Shelter the longest. The shelter is full, and they need the pens to take in more dogs. Time is limited before the dogs will be euthanized. The Emanuel County Humane Society will pay for adoption fees, spaying/neutering fees and rabies shots. The animals are waiting on you to save their lives. Four of them are a family who came in together; Zara is the mother dog with her three puppies, Zena, Zain and Ziaf, who are only about four months old. They are Aussie/Blue Heeler mix. It is sad to think their young lives will be cut short if no one steps up to adopt them. Jangles is a male bulldog mix and is very sweet. He weighs about 50 lbs. Ruger is a handsome blue pit bulldog mix and weighs about 50 lbs.

All the animals belonged to someone, but they were taken into the shelter, and no one has come to take them home. If you are missing a dog, please call the shelter at 478-237-4040 and check to see if one of those dogs are looking for you.

We hope you will open your hearts, and help save the animals by adopting them. Several lives were saved last week. Thanks to the ones who helped save lives by adopting. Many more are waiting. Go save a life. You can make the difference!
