On December 20, 2025, The Second Union Missionary Baptist Association (SUMBA) of Swainsboro hosted a Civic and Religious Leaders Breakfast at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Family Life Center where Reverend, Doctor Alfred Cason is the pastor. This breakfast was a meet and greet event for newly elected mayors of the cities of Louisville, Metter and Swainsboro, and other newly elected officials, along with current sitting officials. The purpose of this breakfast was to introduce them to the community and the community to them.
The keynote speaker for this event was the Honorable Mr. David Hannah, Mayor of Wrens. Mayor Hannah chose to share some of the challenges that he faced when he first became mayor. However, he also shared how a city could grow when everyone come together, work and unite as one.
Emanuel County citizens and elected officials came out to support this effort. Moderator Reverend Doctor E. Muriel Bell and Vice-Moderator Reverend Melvin Adams, Jr. would like to thank everyone who came out, for their participation and support.
